MSS Propads Bedsore Prevention A popular pressure reducing overlay in the healthcare market, placing a Propad foam Overlay, between the patient and the mattress, provides the optimum prevention of pressure ulcers for those "At Risk" or having bed sore pain.. The MSS Propad achieves even weight distribution by conforming to the shape and form of the body, cradling the more bony prominences. This significantly reduces pressure on this vulnerable tissue. The MSS Propad's surface is a series of geometrically cut cells that operate independently. The depth of the cut between each cell, is designed to achieve the lowest possible pressure at any one point and virtually eliminates shear and friction forces. Essential air circulation around the patient is created through the network of channels at the base of each cell. This minimises the build-up of heat and moisture, reducing the risk of skin maceration. The life and clinical effectiveness of the MSS Propad is greatly extended by the use of a Dura-Cover. Made from an extremely soft, waterproof, vapour-permeable material, the Dura-Cover provides protection against heavy soiling and contamination of the foam. Because the cover stretches two ways, the clinical properties of the core underneath are maximised. Single Size : 73.8" x 34.5" x 3.3/8" (187.5x87.6x8.5cm).
